WHY THE WIDOWS OF VRINDAVAN?
Millions come to Vrindavan seeking blessings, but too often, the widowed women who have come to live a sacred life of service are overlooked.
We’re here to make sure they’re not just seen, but nourished, honored, and cared for.

We’re committed to making a life-altering impact in these women’s lives with dignified daily care.
Many of these women have endured deep loss. They come to Radha Kunda of Vrindavan seeking peace, prayer, and shelter. We're committed to providing them daily prasadam meals, medical support, spiritual companionship, meaningful engagement, and safe housing, all grounded in the sacred principle of seva.
Our efforts ensure they are not only nourished but truly cared for with dignity, stability, and a deep sense of spiritual belonging.
We offer these resilient women lives filled with peace, purpose, and grace, surrounded by care, immersed in service, and uplifted by the community that stands beside them.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

80% of widows lack access to healthcare and struggle with illness associated with old age, as well as a lack of sanitation: access to clean water, toilets, or soap.
90% of Vrindavan's widows are elderly, uneducated, illiterate, and struggle with social stigmas against them, making it nearly impossible for them to receive employment.
78% of widows fear for their wellbeing. Living as a societal outcast, widows are left alone and abandoned.
We meet widows where they're at, and help them live independently without years of skills training, so they immediately no longer have to live on the streets or in crowded ashrams. Through stipends, we support meaningful engagement they already love, like caring for sacred land and water, planting gardens, temple seva, cooking, and prasadam meal distribution. By supporting widows in meaningful work, they regain their lives with dignity.
We've created a safe community for widows to provide a level of care that strengthens the community as a whole. When widows are empowered, they gladly take on initiatives that nourish and protect the local environment and people.
We provide free medical care for widows as well as an ample supply of necessary toiletries, elderly aid support, safe drinking water, and healthy meals so that they can trust they will be supported for the remainder of their lives.
