Radha Madan Mohan Mandir, RadhaSeva's New Headquarters

It is an honor that our RadhaSeva Headquarters is now at Sanatana Goswami's Radha Mandan Mohan Temple in Radha Kunda. This gorgeous temple sits nestled inside a massive courtyard overlooking beautiful Radha Kunda and Shyama Kunda, right on the parikrama path. Despite renovation needs, these large buildings will offer many seva opportunities, including two great halls, ample room for events, programs, daily meal distribution for widows and locals, widow housing, after-school programs for local children, and much more. Kirtans will be held at the temple daily.
We are thrilled to continue and expand RadhaSeva at this incredible new location.

The History of Radha Madan Mohan

The Madan Mohan temple's history traces back 5,000 years when King Vajranabh (Sri Krishna's Great Grandson) established the original Madan Mohan temple along with few other temples in Vrindavan. Throughout time, however, the temple was lost. It was rebuilt in 1580 by Kapur Ram das, under the guidance of Sri Sanatana Goswami. Later in 1670, during the invasion of Mughal Ruler Aurangzeb, the original deities were secretly moved to Radha Kunda and kept hidden while deciding how best to protect the deities from invader onslaught. The devotees decided to carve Pratibhu-murtis (expanded forms, non-different from the original Deities) and establish replica temples in Radha Kunda. The original deities were taken to Jaipur for safekeeping. The worship of these Pratibhu deities has continued for hundreds of years at this location.

Sanatana Goswami's Radha Madan Mohan gives sambanda, the worship that begins and establishes a relationship with Krishna. Madan Mohan is the name of Krishna which means that even cupid, who enchants everyone within this world, gets enchanted by the Lord's beauty. He is the capturer of all hearts and minds.
