PURUSHOTTAM

MAAS

Honor Purushottam Month with a Sacred Offering to the Widows of Vrindavan

This rare and holy month comes only once every three years.

Known as Purushottam Month, this sacred time is personally beloved by Lord Krishna and is considered one of the most spiritually powerful times in the Vedic calendar for prayer, devotion, charity, and service.

This Purushottam Month, the widowed women of Radha Kunda, Vrindavan, invite you to participate from wherever you are.

Celebrate Purushottam Month with the Widows of Vrindavan.

FROM THE HEART OF VRINDAVAN

The widowed women of Radha Kunda are lifelong devotees. Many came from rural Bengal with little material support, choosing a life of renunciation and devotion in Krishna’s holy dham.

Today, they spend their days:
🌿 Cleaning and maintaining Radha Kunda
🌸 Caring for temples and sacred spaces
🍛 Preparing and serving prasadam to women and locals in need
🙏 Offering prayers, kirtan, and seva in devotion

During Purushottam Month, these sacred observances become even more special.

When you make an offering, the widows themselves participate on your behalf, offering prayers and devotional service in this holy land.

Support a widowed woman's life

Meet Purnima, a widow of Radha Kunda in Vrindavan.

During this auspicious time of Purushottam Maas, receive unending prosperity and good fortune by extending a loving hand to Purnima and widowed mothers like her, who take care of the women in their Radha Kunda widowed community every day.

Despite facing extreme hardships, these women continue to embody strength and grace.

Purnima is one of many ladies who cook daily for 150 widowed women at the RadhaSeva ashram. Along with a few other ladies, she prepares over 800 chapattis each morning, made in the traditional West Bengali style. She also prepares vegetable dishes for the widows’ feasts. Her food is made with love, simplicity, and devotion, nourishing the community both physically and spiritually. Not only that, but she cleans and maintains Radha Kunda and Shyama Kunda with love and devotion.

Your generous gift supports her seva and her life.

Why Is Purushottam Month So Special?

Purushottam Month (also called Adhik Maas) is unlike any other month.

According to Vedic tradition, this sacred month was once considered spiritually neglected among the calendar months—until Lord Krishna personally accepted it as His own.

Because of this divine blessing, devotional activities performed during Purushottam Month are believed to bring extraordinary spiritual benefit.

This is a time when devotees increase:
✨ Prayer
✨ Charity
✨ Sacred offerings
✨ Service
✨ Remembrance of Krishna

For many, this month becomes a spiritual reset and a chance to offer something meaningful and deepen one’s devotional life.

And there is perhaps no more sacred place to do that than Radha Kunda in Vrindavan.
