Sri Krishna Janmashtami & RadhaSeva

Why Janmashtami is a time for giving

Janmashtami, the divine celebration of Lord Krishna's appearance, and is a time of exhubrant joy for His devotees. As we celebrate Lord Sri Krishna, the beloved of Vrindavan, we also have the opportunity to take up His instructions of loving devotion by extending charity and kindness to those in need in Vrindavan.

The Widows of Vrindavan have devoted their lives to Krishna despite facing severe hardships. This Janmashtami, let us come together to offer them the support and dignity they deserve.

Vrindavan is not only one of India’s most sacred sites but also home to 20,000 widows who have been abandoned by society. These women, often left with no means of support, seek refuge in Vrindavan, where they spend their days in prayer and service. Without basic human rights and access to necessities, they live in vulnerable conditions. However, with your help, they can find dignity, purpose, and hope.
