About Akshaya Tritiya:
On this most auspicious day, one can receive Lord Sri Krishna’s blessings for prosperity and devotion.

Akshaya Tritiya is known to be one of the most auspicious days for new beginnings. It was on this day that Sudama, a poor brahmana, went to Dwaraka and met His childhood friend, Lord Krishna. Though Sudama never asked the Lord for any help, Lord Krishna blessed him with unlimited prosperity in return for his most humble offering to the Lord of chipped rice.

For this Akshaya Tritiya, you can make a difference in the life of a vulnerable widowed woman in Vrindavan and receive unlimited prosperity.

About Akshaya Tritiya

sb1.jpg

Akshaya Tritiya is a festival of Lord Sri Krishna’s blessings for prosperity and devotion.

Akshaya Tritiya is regarded as one of the most auspicious days for new beginnings. This festival occurs on the third day (Tritiya) of the bright fortnight (Shukla Paksha) in the month of Vaishakha every year.

The word ‘Akshaya’ in Sanskrit means inexhaustible, that which is unlimited or everlasting and this festival is a celebration of unending happiness, peace, and prosperity for those who take part in this special day.

It was also on this day that Sudama, a poor brahmana and dear childhood friend of Lord Krishna, went to Dwaraka to meet with Him. Sudama, in his impoverished condition, was sent by his wife, out of concern for her husband to receive help from Lord Krishna and gave him a small bag of chipped rice to offer as a gift.  Though Sudama never asked the Lord for any help but rather took the opportunity to be in His personal association again, Lord Krishna blessed him with unlimited prosperity in return for his most humble offering of the chipped rice. In spite of possessing great riches, Sudama remained a great devotee of the Lord and never forgot Him. Consequently, he attained supreme perfection. Thus Akshaya Tritiya is also a festival of Lord Sri Krishna’s blessings for prosperity and devotion.

There is no better way to ensure eternal prosperity than to make a spiritual beginning on this day. At RadhaSeva, the intimate meeting of Krishna and Sudama is honored by celebrating the poor and vulnerable widows of Vrindavan as well as Lord Krishna’s love for His dear devotee Sudama.

We, therefore, offer a unique opportunity to participate in this seva of widow care and protection on this auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
