COMMITTED TO MAKING
What We Do
We use your donations and sponsorships to give widows fair pay salaries to cook meals for their community and locals in poverty. In addition, widows clean and maintain holy sites and waters around Govardhan, India to raise the atmosphere of their sacred home. By giving widows paid and meaningful engagement they become empowered, uplift their communities and provide futures for themselves and others.
We cannot change the struggles of becoming a widow, but we can do something to help. With over 95% of widows facing financial crises and social discrimination, our mission is to support widows in building their future.
Our Steps to a Brighter Life
We're committed to providing widows accessible community resources,
widow care pairing, and staff accountability. We're dedicated to daily meals, ensuring appropriate housing, and maintaining the safety and welfare of these women.
We offer widows community engagement as well as fair wage services. We pay at national standards, double local salaries, to ensure proper livelihoods. Widows too elderly for safe full-time work are paid full-time wages for part-time work. Generous stipends are given to those unable to work, and work is never mandatory for basic living needs or meals.
Culturally, widows are considered inauspicious, often creating an ethics system susceptible to exploitation and abuse. Widows themselves feel bound to these social stigmas. By shifting their paradigm, widows can help themselves and others rise to a higher quality of life of personal growth and value.
